We produce our high-quality grass cardboars from these materials

We produce our grass cardboards on the basis of recycled paper fibers and grass fibers. With a grammage of 325 g/m², the grass cardboard we produce has a thickness of 0.52 mm. The proportion of recycled fibers amounts to a total of 96 percent, while the proportion of grass is 4 percent.

There is a simple reason why the proportion of grass is so low compared to the proportion of recycled fibers: the grass fibers are quite short compared to wood fibers. If the grass content is too high, this can have a negative effect on the stability of the cardboard.

Grass has a negative effect on the strength of cardboard from a proportion of between 20 and 50 percent. This is mainly due to the lower stability of the short blades of grass compared to the very long wood fibers. As a result, an excessively high proportion of grass has a counterproductive effect in contrast to normal fresh fiber from trees.
